Information You Send Us
Information entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Trumbull Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to answer or route the question.
Automatic Technical Logs
The hosting service may record ordinary technical details, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to keep pages working and understand general readership. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Limited Data
Technical and message data is used to operate the pages, fix faults, count traffic, improve content, and respond to questions. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles from the small amount of information described here.
Links to Outside Services
The pages link to Trumbull and Connecticut records portals, libraries, archives, courts, and sponsored search tools. Once a visitor follows an external link, that provider's privacy policy controls what is submitted there. Review the outside service's terms before entering a name, address, phone number, or payment information.
Who Can Receive It
Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. We do not disclose message content or logs for unrelated purposes.
Security and Retention
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes above and no longer than those purposes require. There are no site accounts, passwords, or user profiles for an intruder to access.
Visitors Under 18
These reference pages are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact us so the material can be reviewed and deleted where it is under our control.
Your Connecticut Privacy Rights
For covered businesses, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, codified in C.G.S. Chapter 743jj, may provide rights to access, correct, delete, obtain, or opt out of certain processing. Scope, exemptions, and the identity of the data controller matter. Because this reference retains very little visitor information, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Public records held by Connecticut agencies, Trumbull offices, courts, libraries, or other custodians are outside our control. The Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, Chapter 14, including C.G.S. ยงยง1-200, 1-210, and 1-212, governs access to many public-agency records subject to exemptions. A correction or removal request for those records must go to the office that created or maintains the record.
